We use an inert gas process for the heat treatment of unalloyed to medium-alloy steels as well as for thermo-chemical processes. Vacuum heat treatment is used for medium to high-alloy steels.

Salt bath technology at H-O-T has been superseded by the establishment of a heat treatment facility using an inert gas process.
Therefore our customers have the following advantages:

  • The advantages of salt bath hardening are not just maintained but also extended by a new inert-gas technology in fully-automatic controlled furnaces.
  • The replacement of Tenifer* bath nitriding by an environmentally friendly gas nitriding technology.
